What is Couples Counselling?
Couples Counselling, relationship counselling or marriage counselling, is a process whereby the partners in a relationship identify that there are areas in their relationship that need improvement. The couple’s counsellor facilitates discussion to help the couple change how they view their relationship and help them both explore feelings individually and within the partnership. The aim is for the couple to better understand one another and move away from dysfunctional behaviours that are causing harm and towards improved constructive communication.
